Acting before thinking........

"A man who waits to believe in action before acting is anything you like, but he is not a man of action. It is as if a tennis player, before returning the ball, stopped to think about his views of the physical and mental advantages of tennis. You must act as you breathe."
-Georges Clemenceau

Is it true that acting quickly  and instinctively is the best response to a crisis? Or are there times when an urgent situation requires a more careful consideration and a slower response? Plan your response, and then write an essay. ( No less than two paragraphs)

  1. This quote is true but it depends on what the situation may be. Some situations require you to think and act very quickly. Others you have to think very carefully then act to the situation.
If you have no choice but to act quickly on a crisis situation, then you have to do so. Your action may be the wrong thing for the situation, it also might be the right thing for the situation. If you have a choice, you should take the time and carefully think about the actions you will make.

  3. This qoute is so very true, but it all depends on the situation you are occuring. Some things you think that are at the top of your head and they just pop out and you would never know that you would have said that. It has definetly happened to me before. Some situations you shouldn't just bust out and open your mouth.
On the other hand, you can take some things and just scream about it because it is just that serious. It will only occur on certain situations but some things people react on any and everything.

  4. This quote is true, because you cant just react that quickly. But it all depends on the situation. Sometimes its best to just keep your mouth closed becuase what you think to say right off the top of your head isnt always good. You may never know how its going to effect the other person. Or maybe how you make yourself feel.
Now depending on the situation, sometimes you can blurt out what you have or want to say. Maybe it can be involving a close friend or a relative where you can do that. But sometimes its the case. But some people always or just in ceratin times react like that.

  5. I believe this quote is true. You must act as you breathe. If you have to think about an action before you perform it, you are not being a mam of action. You should not have to stop and think about everything you do. Though, some things do require to be thought out.

Acting quickly and instinctively is not always the best response to a crisis. When in a crisis, acting quickly is usually the best response, but not always. At the same time, some urgent situations do require a more careful thought. You just have to make the right decision and know when to think, and when to act based upon instinct.

  6. I think at times acting quickly is not good. Sometimes you have to think over what the crisis is. Also at times you really need to think about your actions. Acting too fast could have a bad consequence. Although you should be smart, I also think you should be quick about your decisions. Making a fast decision could make a big difference in a tight situation.

Having a planned out decision can be a big help in the long run. Being careful in your planning can either make a good or bad outcome. Acting more methodical in a situation will allow you to see things better. This allows you to make the best decision for the best outcome.Lastly, be careful will help you to find a way for everything to come out positive.

  7. From time to time it depends. If the person is arguing you down then it is best to stand your ground and not let them push you around. The person will never leave you alone if you just back down and walk away. If you stay there and fight the person will get the message. It would be better to think it out though, and to not just go off you knowledge in you mind which might not be true. You should get all the facts first. Do not just go off fighting.
It is also good to some times think about what you are doing. With out thinking fist you could possibly have the wrong facts. It is also good to just walk away from time to time just fighting all the time can get you killed. You need to know what all can push you and that person to a point to actually fight. If you believe you are ready to fight hold out for just a little bit longer and give the person one more chance if they push that wrong button yes fight. Do not just go off instinct. Act as to one as you want them to act towards you. You would not want some one just to walk up to you and hit you, so why should you do it to them?

  8. I agree with this quote because acting before thinking is not always good. It can be bad because it can make the situation worst. You should think before you react, because you have time to plan out how your going to handle the situation and the consequences that can occur afterwards. Sometimes it can be good to react first because it can eliminate the problem right then in there. It all depends on the situation though.
For example, if a young woman was walking down the street and someone ran past and snatched her purse. Acting before thinking would've told her to chase the purse snatcher. This is a good reaction because she could have got her purse back. This is also bad because she could have got hurt. So it all depends on the situation whether to act first or think first.

  9. I think this quote i very true. it goes both ways you should think before you react then again thinking may cause the situation to get worse. Most of the time i dont think before i react some times i dont have to its some time commonsence. sometimes nothings gets me in alot of trouble so depending on what the situation is u should think before u react

Then again you cant think you have to react right then in there. Thinking cause a slow reaction and a slow reaction may cause a big mistake. It all depend on what the situation is weather you sit and think or should you just react, it also depend on what the consequences are.

  10. Is it true that acting quickly and instinctively is the best response to a crisis? Well, sometimes this can be true, it really depends on what kind of situation you're in. For example, say someone tells you they are about come to your house, what would you do? you have a little time to react or think about what you would do.

Maybe your house wasn't as clean as you wanted it to be? now you have a few minutes so you can dust around a little bit. You can even vacuum the carpet. If you are unfortunate to get into a car crash, you really won't be thinking. You just go straight off of your first mind because your adrenaline kicks in and that's all you know. There's no time to think, but really like i said it depends on the situation.

  11. I both agree and disagree with thins quote. I believe that here are times when it is best to go with your first instinct because there isn't always time to think it out. For example, If you see a tornado coming down your street, your first instinct is to go inside. You don't have time to stop and think out what part of the house you're going to go in or if the neighbor is okay, you need to get in fast for safety.
In some cases, however, it is best to stop and think about the situation to make the best move. For instance, if you're upset or having a bad day, it would be smarter to stop and think before you act. If you're first instinct is to run around destroying everything or to hit the first person you see, then you'd be causing more problems instead of solving one. So in that case, or similar ones, it would be best to think before you act.

  12. In my opinion I think that there are times where you have to put more thought into things and give a slower response than just acting quickly without thinking. Both of them can be true but most of the time when people don't put thought into somethings and just do there can be consequences to your actions. For example if a basketball team makes a wrong play that one wrong play can end up in a consequence as to whether they win or lose the game. But in some cases if a person had to go to the hospital or if you get into a car crash your reaction will be very quick, you wouldn't even put thought into it. Sometimes it also depends on the situation but 9 times out of 10 you have to put thought into almost anything you do or it could get you in a lot of trouble. I know that when I do things I put a lot of thought into it before I actually do it because of past experiences that has gotten me into a lot of trouble.~Monae Jackson

  13. Acting quickly without thinking can be a good thing sometimes. Especially in bad situations, but sometimes you have to think before you act. Like in sports you need to think fast in order to catch a ball or you'll miss and get hit with the ball in the face. Thinking before acting could also apply in a sport too. Like in Football when they get together to plan a strategy. In board games, like Chess or Monopoly, you need to think about how you’re going to move, or what pawn you’re going to move.

Acting before thinking is not always a good thing, like anything else, it has consequences. Acting before thinking can get you into trouble. Like if you chose to do something that your friends told you to do, like stealing something, you would get into a lot of trouble. So thinking before acting is really the best thing to do, unless you’re doing something that requires you to act fast. - E'Lexus Rodgers

  14. This is true because acting without thinking can change your life forever. In a split sound, you can make disunion when you were mad and kill some one.it only take the wrong word to come out and there goes you future. You can walk away or fight is you do not think do i have more to lost you can lost everything.
At the same time, you have to make some disunion on the spot. Like when you are on the basketball court sometimes the paly does not work and you have only a sound to figure out what to do. Or when the hospital says a loved one has to have but hence they have half a pack of us are searching the positive amount of bank of the emergency surgery and you can sit there and let you r love one dye .so it goes both ways.

  15. I think that this quote is very true. You should always think before you react. Your actions can change the way people think or feel about you. Someone can have a good impression of you and your action can change that within seconds. It can be good and bad to react before thinking.

Depending on what the situation is how you should determine whether you react without thinking or think then react. For an example, the police pulls you over, you don’t feel you did anything wrong, and you want to react negatively. You shouldn’t because the situation will just get worse, to be on the safe side you should think then react.
